Peril was shown to have romantic feelings for him, but it was mentioned in Escaping Peril that he needed some time to figure out his own emotions for her.Ĭlay is a sweet, protective dragon who is seen as a bigwings by most of his friends due to his selflessness and kindness. Sunny tries to convince Clay and the others that Peril will betray them, but they don't listen.Clay is a male MudWing, Dragonet of Destiny, and the main protagonist in The Dragonet Prophecy. He was told by Kestrel that he was born a cold-blooded killer, which couldn't be farther from reality Clay actually is a very kind-hearted and empathetic dragon.It's later revealed that she did that because she knew Tsunami was in danger and wanted to save her. She hits Scarlet right in the face and Starflight's arm. The battle ends with Starflight about to snap Tsunami's neck when Glory unleashes her magical death spit. Scarlet is thrilled-this is exactly what she wanted to see from a NightWing. Starflight recoils, but then begins using his mind reading and foresight powers to handily outsmart Tsunami and dodge all of her attacks. It starts with Tsunami punching Starflight in the nose ("That's what you get for being such a stuck-up know-it-all for six years!"). In the arena, when Scarlet brings out Starflight and Tsunami, instead of refusing to fight, they nearly kill each other.The dragonets are found and captured by Scarlet and the SkyWings just like in the canon universe.He resorts to trying to leave his own way and meets the others on the outside of the caves, all smug that his plan worked better. Starflight tries to take the escape attempt into his own talons, getting upset when the others try to do it their way and becoming uncooperative.As such, the other dragonets let her in on the escape plan. However, she's better at keeping secrets because she can read dragons' minds and see the potential future outcomes of saying the wrong thing. In the first book, Sunny's personality is very similar to her canon personality.Glory in particular vehemently loathed Starflight and privately wished he was dead. While incarcerated under the mountain, the other dragonets resent Starflight and his smug, know-it-all personality.Starflight hatches fully as Morrowseer is flying over the sea towards mainland Pyrrhia. Morrowseer is delayed by super important top-secret NightWing business, and Starflight is already starting to hatch by the time Morrowseer makes it to where the egg is.Dune is waylaid as he's travelling towards the caves, and Sunny hatches in his talons not far from the Kingdom of Sand.Starflight during the dragonets' escape attempt "My visions tell me we're getting out of here either way, so why does it even matter?" As the series progresses, she discovers her animus abilities, which begin chipping away at her soul until she's an empty, borderline-insane husk of a dragon. Sunny's personality in the first book is pretty much the same as in canon, although she is a little more shy and reserved because she can read the guardians' hurtful thoughts and sometimes sees grim futures.His cocky attitude gets worse over the course of the first arc, and he later turns against the rest of the Dragonets, who must defeat him in order to fulfil the prophecy. He resents Clay and Tsunami for being the "leaders" of the Dragonets because he feels he is superior and is the rightful leader of the group. Starflight is still a know-it-all, but a LOT more smug about it because he can read minds and see the future.Their personalities become a lot different than their canon personalities over the course of the series due to their abilities. ![]() In this AU, Sunny and Starflight were hatched in the moonlight before their eggs could get to the caves.
